DPD
Perpamsi Banten holds Training Epanet for their members

Tangerang,
In order to overcome concerning problems on pipe-networks
in PDAMs, DPD Perpamsi Propinsi Banten holds Training
Epanet for all their members with the instructure Ir.
Gede H. Cahyana dated 10 - 11 March 2008 in PDAM Kabupaten
Tangerang. This training is formally opened by Mr. Subekti
as Head of DPD Perpamsi Propinsi Banten and is participated
by 38 persons as representatives of their companies
as members of DPD Perpamsi Propinsi Banten. In his address
Mr.Subekti reminds the audience on the importance of
managing the pipe-networks which have been owned by
PDAMs. As an example is that how difficult the management
is in order to analyze and to evaluate water-distribution
condition because very lack of pipe-network data, therefore
via this training we hope we can prepare the first-steps
for management in order to make inventory all the pipe-networks
and can evaluate them via Epanet application. |

This
training is stressing on the basic-method of Epanet,
calculation concept on water-hydraulics and direct-practice
on Epanet application, though some participants already
use Epanet in their operation. As the instructue Mr.
Ir. Gede H. Cahyana, which is known as a writer concerning
in Majalah Air Minum (Water-Supply Magazine), one of
them is with subject Epanet Application, Dean and Lecturer
in Universitas Kebangsaan Bandung and as writer of some
books about PDAMs amongst is with the title PDAM Bangkrut
dan PDAM Bangkit and some religious books. |

Participants
are coming from divisions : Distribution, Planning,
Research and Development and SPI/Unit of Internal
Supervision, and expected then can apply and
share the training-results to other employees
at work. Comments from participants that basically
they feel it is so important to applicate this
especially related to hydraulics-analyses of
pipe-networks and hope that this kind of training
can be continuously carried out. |
